Fresh air and activated carbon filters are easily removed from the top of the unit for cleaning or replacement. Parts list shows all components and part numbers in an exploded view diagram. Noise-reduction is designed for quiet operation; the indoor sound level is just 48 dBA. ECM blower motor is not only efficient but quiet. A standard air filter removes contaminants when the fresh air system is used; this filter can be washed and reused. Additionally, an activated carbon filter eliminates smaller suspended particles such as free chlorine, odors, and toxic particles that are too small to filter out by using just the standard filter. The activated carbon filter should be changed every three months to maintain the indoor air quality.
