Panels provide easy access to control box, compressor, and other components; field piping connections are made through a fixed panel that allows removal of panels without disturbing connections. Control box may be opened without affecting normal operation of unit. External gauge ports allow pressures to be checked without removing panels. Condenser fan motors are accessed by removing wire grilles, making it easy to clean the condenser coil. The split system design is inherently quiet, keeping operational sound outdoors. Also, the compressors are mounted on rubber grommets to reduce vibration and noise; the condenser fan motor is similarly mounted for sound attenuation. Vertical discharge fans carry sound up and away from the surrounding area.
