Self-motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to work in a multi-disciplinary engineering department. Works collaboratively with Electrical, Mechanical, and Optical engineers and technicians through the product development process for high precision metrology systems and provides support to manufacturing. Must possess high initiative, be self-directed, adaptable, and able to manage a dynamic workload.
Primary duties include:
1. Create and maintain design documentation for cables and machine interconnects
2. Research and specify purchased components
3. Prepare product release documentation
4. Develop test requirements and conduct testing for prototypes and new product
5. Debug and troubleshoot electrical systems and assemblies to the component level (including PCBA)
Minimum requirements include:
1. Associates Degree and 5 years experience or equivalent
2. CAD experience
3. Electronic prototype assembly experience
4. Strong PC computer skills
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Cable/harness design experience is a plus
7. CADSTAR, OrCad, AutoCAD Inventor experience is a plus
